Today I decided to start a Dream Journal. A Dream Journal, for those that don't know, is where you write down and explain the dream you just had whenever you wake up in the morning. I figured this would help me with my artwork, because dreams are often surreal and creative in themselves. I was studying surrealism in Art History the other day when I discovered it was all about a dreamy state, or close to what you'd see in your dreams. I guess I should've known, but I never thought about it that way for some reason.
I also decided to start an art blog, in hopes that it would keep me focused on my artwork. Art is my passion. However, I'm having trouble with procrastination because I'm an art student who has a ton of homework for other classes; I haven't gotten to take many art classes yet, because I still have to strive hard to finish my core classes. In every entry, I'll try and say what I've accomplished that day as far as my artwork goes, my thoughts about different art related topics, and in general how I'm doing. Hopefully I'll be able to promptly post my images too. My friends and family are welcome to comment and give me advice, as well as anyone else who'd like to.
